Laredo: Impacting Texas and the Nation

As mayor of the great city of Laredo, Texas, I am proud to boast about all of the wonderful aspects that come with living in a community nestled in such an important location on the Texas/Mexico border.

Aside from the beautiful culture, traditions, and foods that is shared on a daily basis, Laredo’s bilingual and bicultural way of life have helped this city grow to be the nation’s largest inland port. Approximately 12,000 vehicles crossing daily through the port, with trade from over 60 countries and billions of dollars in goods and products, making it imperative that Laredo have the infrastructure necessary to keep this important and prosperous trade industry growing – and flowing – along the streets of Laredo.

With your help, we can make sure that those things are taken care of.

Funding for important and necessary transportation infrastructure; capital for programs and services developed to protect the Rio Grande and Laredo’s environment; and investing in our city’s law enforcement and first responders are just a few of the pressing needs of Laredo, needs that have a greater impact on just our community, but rather, the whole region and beyond.
