This division enforces ordinances and regulations dealing with health and sanitation, wastewater, solid waste, vector control, air quality, and hazardous substance pollution through inspections, surveillance and monitoring. Inspected facilities include restaurants, hotels, motels, pools, approved recreational areas, tattoo parlors and food preparation areas to assure the consumer a healthy supply of food, milk and water. The Environmental Division maintains a meticulous food inspection program. Other inspections provide for proper sanitary waste disposal, rodent control, and safe and clean working and living conditions.
