MISSON STATMENT:  

     By effectively using a holistic approach, the mission of the City of Laredo Employee Health and Wellness Division is to properly armor and shield all of our employees with the power of knowledge in the health field by progressively  assisting them in protecting, encouraging, and strengthening their heart, mind and spirit.  The Health and Wellness Division will continually strive to provide access to all wellness health education, to physical exercise programs,  to community health care providers in order to increase an employee’s level of personal health education as a continual learning process,  to encourage lifestyle changes to live a healthier life, to recognize and encourage employees for actively participating and promoting a healthier active lifestyle within their work environment, to encourage participation disease management in order to manage expenses and extinguish absenteeism related to acute and chronic illness, and to promote a positive energetic culture that is focused on celebrating life by improving its’ quality to all City employees and their families.
