DRIVING SAFETY
CLASS
Defensive driving can only be approved if a plea of guilty or
no contest is entered with the court on or before your court date.
Fees:
The fee for ticket dismissal by completion
of a Driving Safety Class $102.10.
If the offense occurred in a School Zone, the fee is $117.10.
Eligibility: you are NOT eligible
for this option if you answer YES to any of the following questions:
- Did you take a driving safety class
within the past 12 months for ticket dismissal?
- Were you speeding 25 mph or more
over the posted speed limit?
- Were you cited for not having a valid
vehicle liability insurance or a valid Texas Drivers License?
- Were you charged with
Failure to Leave Identification at an accident or passing a
school bus?
- Do hold a commercial
drivers license?
