  I.  CALL TO ORDER

      With a quorum present Mayor Elizabeth G. Flores called the
      meeting to order.

 II.  PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

      Mayor Elizabeth G. Flores led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

III.  ROLL CALL

 IV.  RESOLUTION

      1.  98-R-136   Canvassing the results of the Special Sales
                     Tax Election held on August 8, 1998, and
                     approving the results.

          A representative from the City Secretary's office read
          the results of the election as follows:

              For:   1,001             Against:   2,407

      Motion to accept canvassing returns of the Special Sales Tax
      Election.

      Moved : Cm. Guerra
      Second: Cm. Valdez
      For:  6                 Against: 0         Abstain: 0

      Cm. Alvarado came in at 6:40 P. M.
      Cw. Moreno came in at 6:42 P. M.

  V.  ADJOURNMENT

      Motion to adjourn.

      Moved : Cm. Bruni
      Second: Cm. Galo
      For:  8                 Against:  0         Abstain: 0

      Adjournment time: 6:35 P. M.
